What is the drone threat?

Drones have created a serious threat to infrastructure worldwide. Detection and tracking is critical to countering the threat. Trident Spherical Radar is the first of it’s kind to provide the performance necessary to meet this threat.

We are applying bi-static technology (previously used to detect stealth aircraft) to track drones with unmatched accuracy. Our networked Radar system will eliminate any blind spots – critical to providing continuous 3D situational awareness for the drone threat.

Spherical Radar Performance

True continuous spherical coverage day or night and in all weather conditions:

  • - 360 degrees azimuth
  • - 180 (360) degrees elevation out to 2km

Detection of up to 100 targets (0,5 meters resolution) with a Radar Cross Section of 3cm x 3cm at an accuracy 1 cubic meter within 2km

Low profile RF signature and compact size making system operation difficult to detect

Ability to detect and track drones of any type and size, including: autonomous(RF silent), hovering and fast-moving (0…500 km/h) in a spherical zone of surveillance

Networked sensors expand coverage and eliminate blind areas between and around structures

Provides unmatched 3D situational awareness showing exact drone location on 2D and 3D UI display enabling a precise response

Target data is exported via industry-standard protocols for integration with other security and counter-drone systems

Additional networked receivers and transmitters can be added to expand coverage area and eliminate blind spots
